Nestling alongside the River Tyne at the point where it is
crossed by the 12th century Nungate Bridge do we have one of the
finest locations in Scotland? Richard Bath from Scotland on Sunday
certainly seems to think so!
Other excerpts from the review include:
"the small, pristine bar ("The
Office") ... boasts a fantastic playlist of wines and one of
the best selections of beers I've seen in years"
"take a right and head up a short flight of
stairs and if you're not exactly in baby heaven, you're pretty
close to it. The Waterside's family room has good views, but mainly
it has complete seclusion and plenty of goodies for youngsters to
play with"
"There is a great amount to like about the
Waterside Bistro. The service is exemplary, the coffee a rare
treat, the presence of Thistly Cross cider a joy, and the
environment a sensitive modernisation of a venerable old watering
hole."
