Steak Fridays are proving a real hit! Featuring  a choice of several cuts of meat served on our chunky steak boards we have noticed a true carnivorous feel to Friday nights. Washed down with a glass of Vino - what better way to spend a Friday night? Disclaimer- non bovine options also available!

The boys in the kitchen have gone rather retro with us and designed a truly fun menu for our Spring tasting on 4th May. The Heston Blumenthal style science kit has come out and they have had fun creating balls of rum caviar and the Self Smoking Scallop Salami is set to truly impress!

Phew! Another summer under our belt (where was that sunshine?) and another Restaurant Awards dinner to go to. Having been pipped at the post to Pub Restaurant of the year, we have all our fingers and toes crossed for the SLTN awards in November where we are down to the final 3 for Family Friendly Venue of the year.

Two finals and only a year of trading under our belts. No wonder we are always smiling!

As the dark nights start to creep back in and the temperatures are dropping we have been trying to think of some ways to entertain you over the coming Winter months. First on the list is our Steak night on Friday 30th September. Our fantastic butcher, Gilmours of Macmerry has worked alongside us to make sure we only have the best cuts available so get your carnivorous heads on and give it a go.

On 28th October we are hosting the Inaugral Tasting Menu night. Our chefs have come up with a truly mouth watering 5 course menu to tickle your taste buds.

For rugby fans we will be showing some of the main Rugby World Cup matches, served up with a hearty Scottish breakfast. Just tell your partner you have to go to the office!

We are so pleased to have been selected as finalists for the upcoming CIS Awards. Dubbed the oscars of Scottish Dining we are alonside luminaries such as Ondine, Martin Wishart, Braidwoods, La Potiniere....

The awards dinner is on the 26th May at the Glasgow Hilton. Oooh what shall we wear?

May is always an exciting time for restaurants in Edinburgh and Glasgow as the List produces its Eating and Drinking Guide. As we are technically not in Edinburgh we didn't expect to appear but we were one of the few restaurants selected for the Around Scotland section. Not only that we appear on their hitlist for this category - a select list of the best places.

We must be doing something right!

The sun is shining and the long winter is finally behind us..... we hope!

Due to numerous requests, from Monday 25th April we will be open on Mond ays.
Come along and soak up that lovely Waterside atmosphere...

We are all geared up for tomorrow's Alpine Night. The Tartiflette is looking very moreish!!

Nestling alongside the River Tyne at the point where it is crossed by the 12th century Nungate Bridge do we have one of the finest locations in Scotland? Richard Bath from Scotland on Sunday certainly seems to think so!
